"Where was I – who am I?" – under this message, Naomi Lareine will release her new EP "Where Were You" on September 6, 2024, reflecting on emotional highs and lows, self-discovery, and her musical transformation.

"Switzerland's Queen of R&B" – that's how Naomi Lareine has often been described in recent years of her musical career, and rightfully so. Her first EP "Girl Next Door", released in 2022, captivated listeners with groovy beats and Naomi’s soft R&B vocals. Alongside her appearance on "Sing meinen Song – Das Schweizer Tauschkonzert", the EP became one of the highlights of her journey so far. If someone had told the then-28-year-old that she would take an even bolder step into the spotlight within just two years, she probably wouldn’t have believed it. And yet, it’s true: Her second EP "Where Were You" surpasses her earlier releases with unrestrained honesty, intimate confessions, and a brand-new pop aesthetic.

This transformation is clearly reflected in her music. “I’m a very emotional person, and with these songs, I’ve processed the feelings and experiences of the past few years,” Naomi says about the five-track collection. At the heart of her new project lies her genre shift — stepping out of the comfort zone of R&B and into the electrifying world of pop stardom! Naomi fully embraces the motto “New Year – New Me” and released her first pop single "Colorblind" in spring 2024, which instantly became a hit and climbed into the Top 15 of the Swiss airplay charts with its danceable energy. That was followed by "Better""Daredevil", and most recently the title track "Where Were You", all profound singles dressed in a polished pop sound. And yet, no two tracks sound the same. Naomi Lareine continues to preserve her musical versatility. “I like to challenge myself sonically,” she reveals. “The process of creating this EP helped me grow, become braver, and affirm who I am.”

After her captivating performance at this year’s Swiss Music Awards, there’s no doubt left: Naomi Lareine wears her new pop sound with style and confidence. "Where Were You", her new EP, will be released on September 6, 2024, celebrating the artist’s personal, romantic, and musical journey of self-discovery.
